  1. Back up all data — unlocking factory resets your device
  2. Enable Developer Options: Settings → About Phone → tap Build Number 7 times
  3. Enable OEM Unlocking in Developer Options
  4. Enable USB Debugging in Developer Options
  5. Connect to PC: adb reboot bootloader
  6. Unlock: fastboot flashing unlock (older: fastboot oem unlock)
  7. Confirm on device screen — wipe happens immediately
  8. Device reboots to stock setup wizard

  1. Read through the instructions at least once before actually following them, so as to avoid any problems due to any missed steps!

  3. Enable USB debugging on your device.
  4. Make sure that your model number is one of the following (exact match required!): CPH2707 CPH2709
  5. Boot your device with the stock OS at least once and check every functionality. warning Warning: Make sure that you can send and receive SMS and place and receive calls (also via WiFi and LTE, if available), otherwise it won’t work on LineageOS either! Additionally, some devices require that VoLTE/V
  6. Remove all Google accounts from your device to avoid “Factory reset protection”
  7. LineageOS is provided as-is with no warranty. While we attempt to verify everything works you are installing this at your own risk!
  8. Enable OEM unlock in the Developer options under device Settings, if present.
  9. Connect the device to your PC via USB.
  10. On the computer, open a command prompt (on Windows) or terminal (on Linux or macOS) window, and type: adb -d reboot bootloader You can also boot into fastboot mode via a key combination: With the device powered off, hold Volume Down + Power .
  11. Once the device is in fastboot mode, verify your PC finds it by typing: fastboot devices If you don’t get any output or an error: on Windows: make sure the device appears in the device manager without a triangle.
